OakLeaf Surgery Center
"My vision as the medical director is to do what we can to increase the capabilities in what we are offering at the surgery center," states Dr. Brent Wogahn, the newly appointed medical director of OakLeaf Surgery Center. Dr. Wogahn, who accepted this position after Dr. CV. Ihle recently stepped down, goes on to say that he hopes to see the surgery center safely offer more complicated surgical procedures in the future.
As the medical director of
OakLeaf Surgery Center, Dr. Wogahn, who is a
physician at Evergreen Surgical, will be a liaison between the
medical staff, the nursing staff, and the established
organizational structure of the center. He will also insure the
adherence to the community standards of patient care and
actively participate in monitoring of such care. In addition,
Dr.
Wogahn will help with the day to day medical situations that
arise. Dr. Wogahn also feels his role is ‘credentialing',
which is checking the credentials of any new physicians or
checking the qualifications of physicians already on staff who
may want to expand what they are already doing or who want to
try new procedures.
Dr.. Wogahn received his medical degree from the University of Iowa and completed his residency training at St. Luke s Hospital in Kansas City. He has assumed the role of medical director of one of the leading surgery centers out of over 250 such centers. There is no doubt that OakLeaf Surgery Center will continue to grow with the leadership and vision of its new medical director.
